Working together

Our goal is to provide a selection of classes, workshops, events and performances that create an eclectic, immersive and entertaining experience for guests of Arthouse. We encourage emerging artists to explore their creativity here and we support programming for all levels of students.

compensation

  • Teaching Artists (classes):

    • Artist Members – 70/30 split of registration fees (artist keeps 70%) (apply here)

    • Non-Artist Members – 60/40 split of registration fees (artist keeps 60%)

    • Supplies are either provided by the students or the teacher (with cost being included in class price)

  • Teaching Artists (camps, regular events/classes organized by Arthouse)

    • $20-$35/hour based on experience or flat fee

    • Supplies are purchased by Arthouse and are included in the cost of the camp/class

  • Organizations are invited to use our 2nd floor studio for classes and gatherings with a $40/hour flat fee for for-profit organizations or $25/hour flat fee for nonprofit organizations.

  • Performing Artists: Flat-fee negotiated by artist with Arthouse

Class registrations and billing will be managed through Arthouse’s website or in-person point-of-sale system. Instructors will be paid within one week following the conclusion of the class.

Arthouse hopes to make classes as financially accessible as possible for participants, while taking into consideration the instructor’s time and supplies. Pricing is primarily up to the instructor with input from Arthouse if needed. Scholarship assistance may be available for certain classes on a case-by-case basis.

amenities

  • The 2nd floor studio is 600 square feet. The 1st floor studio is 300 square feet and is equipped with supplies such as easels, cleaning supplies, and some basic art supplies. Any specialized supplies need to be provided by the instructor (registration price should include the cost of materials) or provided in a separate supply list for students to purchase.

  • Arthouse is not currently ADA accessible; we are in the process of obtaining the permits and approvals to construct a wheelchair ramp to be installed by 2025.

  • Parking is available in the free municipal parking lot a couple hundred feet from our door or on the street

  • Restrooms are located in the foyer and inside the 1st floor studio.

  • Our lounge bar is equipped with refrigerators, a microwave, coffee maker, water boiling pot and toaster oven, which are available for use by instructors.

additional information

  • An Arthouse staff member will be on-site during all classes.

  • Teachers are required to follow Arthouse’s Policies and Procedures; failure to adhere to the Policies & Procedures may result in additional cleaning fees and the inability to use the space in the future.

  • Mediums requiring flammable/highly toxic material, fire, or heavy machinery are not ideal for this space.

  • Arthouse will promote approved classes through our website and marketing channels and expect host artists/organizations to do the same.

  • Arthouse requests a minimum of one-month lead time in order to properly promote each class.
