The Holiday Artisan Market is a local seasonal pop-up market held at Arthouse from December 2nd to December 23rd, every Saturday, from 10am-8pm.

The market will operate as a pop-up retail store, so vendors are NOT required to remain at their table each Saturday. Arthouse staff will be on-site to manage sales. This provides the artist the ability to participate in other in-person markets at the same time, so they can maximize holiday sales. However, vendors are invited and encouraged to be present anytime while the market is open to represent their products and engage with customers. We anticipate that the busiest times will be from 12-4pm.

compensation

There is no registration/booth fee. Artists will receive 80% of their products’ sales, while Arthouse will retain 20%. All sales will go through a central checkout station and artists will be assigned a unique number that should be written on each item’s sales tag to identify vendors during the checkout process. Arthouse staff will be present each Saturday from 10am-8pm to assist customers and manage the register.

Set-UP

Arthouse will provide each vendor with a 72” x 30” table to display their merchandise, plus kraft paper price tags. Arthouse will provide gift-wrapping services for customers upon request.

For vendors who choose to have their products displayed throughout the entire month, there will only be one set-up and one breakdown required.

Set-up is every Saturday, from 8am-10am.

Breakdown is every Sunday, from 9am-11am.

If you are participating in more than one consecutive weekend, you may keep your products at your table for the duration of your participation.

ambience

The market will be set up on the first floor main gallery of 12 S Main St, Wilmington, a space with beautiful stained glass windows and vaulted ceilings. There will be an adorned holiday tree with a ski-lift photo moment for shoppers to take pictures, a model train display and holiday music playing. Santa will be present on Saturdays from 5-7pm to take photos with shoppers. There will be a raffle for gift baskets of homemade goods, sponsored by Arthouse, with proceeds going to The Dover School Club.

Vendors who provide pictures of their products and files of their logos will be featured on Arthouse’s website and social media pages. If a short bio is emailed, Arthouse will include this information in the vendor’s feature as well. Vendors may provide business cards, brochures and/or postcards at each of their tables. Arthouse will provide framed 8.5x10 displays for each table with the vendor’s logo and information. A few weeks prior to the market, Arthouse will do a press release with local news outlets, such as the Deerfield Valley News, Brattleboro Reformer and Bennington Banner. Arthouse will also advertise the market on signage displayed outside of the building.

POLICIES

Production selection guidelines

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through November 5th and there is limited space available. Vendors are selected based on product and selection quality/availability. We accept applications from vendors with products that are:

  • Great holiday gifts

  • Unique

  • Hand-made/crafted

  • High-quality

  • Ethically produced

We do not accept applications from vendors with:

  • Direct sales & multi-level marketing (Mary Kay, LulaRoe, It Works, LipSense, Scentsy, etc).

  • Wholesale distributors

  • Products using licensed imagery and brands

  • Weapons

  • Products with hateful and divisive messages

set-up

Additional risers and displays are welcome upon approval. Merchandising displays/decor are the responsibility of each vendor.

product inventory

Vendors who will participate in multiple weekends may store excess product for replenishments at Arthouse, in labeled storage bins/boxes. Although vendors will be advised of low stock, it is recommended that vendors stop by each weekend to merchandise their table and check inventory.

Vendor spotlights

Vendors must complete the vendor application and email product photos, logos and a bio in order to be featured on any social media/marketing. Please upload photos and logos on a computer (not a phone).
