Liability

Each renter assumes liability for injury to any persons they invite to the space, including but not limited to, injury to students or guests in the renter’s class or group. Renters also assume responsibility for any injury resulting from the renter’s employees, contractors, clients, and any and all of the renter’s visitors during their rental duration.

DAMAGE

The Renter agrees to assume responsibility for damage or theft to the Arthouse building and property, its artistic contents, and other contents caused by the Renter and/or their guests. The replacement of Arthouse’s tangible property must meet with the Director of Operation’s approval.

Payment

Renters will pay in full for each rental before or at the time of the rental. Payment may be made online, over the phone, or in person via cash, check, debit card, or credit card.

SCHEDULING

Scheduling may be done via our website under the “Book Rental” tab, or by phone at (646) 321-3110 or by email at rentals@arthousevt.com. Signed contracts are required to secure a rental. Recurring rentals can be arranged and are recommended, as we can better secure desired time slots and the rental rate will be discounted.

Smoking/fire safety

Smoking, flames, and pyrotechnics are not permitted anywhere in Arthouse facilities or on the property.

Housekeeping

Each renter assumes responsibility for returning the studio to the state they found it upon arrival before they leave. The renter must ensure that all lights and equipment are turned off, tables are cleaned off, and trash is thrown away. No personal equipment, materials, or belongings may be left in the studio. A $25 cleaning fee will be charged if the studios are not left in acceptable condition.

cancellation

2nd Fl studio rentals may be cancelled via email at rentals@arthousevt.com with at least 48 hours’ notice. For cancellations less than 48 hours from the rental, we reserve the right to apply your payment to a future rental or a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the rental price may apply. Main Gallery rentals may be cancelled via email at rentals@arthousevt.com with at least one week’s notice. For cancellations less than one week from the rental, we reserve the right to apply your payment to a future rental or a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the rental price may apply.

Parking

Parking is available on the street and at the municipal lot next to the adjacent Pettee Memorial Library.

Policy changes

Arthouse reserves the right to revise its Rental Agreement and Policies at any time.
