Deb Higgins
Deb first experimented with decoupage as a child. She would cut pictures out of magazines and glue them onto cans and bottles, transforming them into holders for pencils, flower vases, and candle holders. Deb dabbled in this medium off and on over the years, exhibiting her work at the Camelot Village Craft Center in the 1990’s.
Deb has now rekindled her love of decoupage, creating beautiful and functional pieces of art. Her work includes vases, coasters, cutting boards, plates, and charcuterie boards. Deb uses all sorts of decorative paper, tissue paper, rice paper, and fabric to design one of a kind high quality pieces that will last for years to come.
In addition to decoupage, Deb is passionate about acrylic paint pouring, immersing herself in the beauty of fluid artistry. She is mostly self-taught, but studied color theory and techniques with some of the best artists in the field.
Deb has participated in several art shows including the Southern Vermont Art Festival, Art in The Valley, The Wine and Harvest Festival, and Mt Snow’s Oktoberfest. She won the “Artist’s Choice” in 2021 at the Beyond Gallery in Lafayette, Indiana.
